Difference in gold plated cables and normal cables?
The Gold plated version of the s-video cables for ps3 costs alot more than these other s video cables. What's the different? Does the quality of the ps3 change more with the gold-plated ones or something?

What is a better console?
I'm thinking of getting a pre-owned console, either a PS3 or an Xbox 360. I'm not an excessive gamer, hence why I want a pre-owned console, as the only games I would be playing would be mainly the batman games, final fantasy and things like that. I've had an Xbox 360 before, but I'm curious to know which one would be better for just general gaming? I've found they are around the same price pre-owned in places like game and game station so it's nothing to do with price, more reliability. I love my playstation 2, but the only reason I want a new console, is because the games I want to play aren't available on the consoles I currently own (nintendo wii, nintendo ds, playstation 2 etc)
So yeah, opinions one which is more reliable and things will be helpful!

PSX disc won't read on PS2...?
I've been trying to play Final Fantasy IX lately, and the disc won't read on my PlayStation 2 at all. However, the disc reads perfectly on my PlayStation 3, which I'm not allowed to take out of the family room since my Dad also uses it. The disc is clean, so I don't understand why it won't work on my PS2. Other games I own, like FFVII, GTA: Vice City and Kingdom Hearts all read. Is there any way to fix it so I can play my game?

Question about Playstation 1 games on PSP?
Im using popstation to get ps1 roms, iso's, and bin files to convert to my psp. Out of 10 Ive only gotten 2 that work 100% the rest get to the menu then when I hit new game it goes to a black screen that never loads. Why? They work perfectly on my computer

Anyone know how to fix this problem on the PS3?
I was about to transfer all my data to a new playstation and when I went to deactivate the system like their guide said to, it shut off right after I hit deactivate and the red light started blinking. I tried to turn it on and it said it was not shut down properly and my data may be corrupt. I unplugged it and tried later and it would only go green for 2 seconds, flash yellow then start blinking red again. I called sony and their response was to send it in for 130 dollars... at which they couldn't recover the data. I luckily copied game saves just previous to this but I cant get it running again. I'm reformatting it to FAT32 in hopes that it will at least turn back on but no luck so far. And I don't think its an overheat problem because I had not been playing a game or anything prior. I had just turned it on and within a minute or two it did this so it shouldn't have been hot. It didn't even feel warm so... Thanks Sony!
Obviously you cant read... I DID CALL SONY. and they said to send it in for 130 dollars and at that they couldn't get my data back. Screw Sony

I simply used a flash drive and copied the saves that could be moved which was most of them. I have had this for over 5 years but I always keep it cool with external fans and such but the reason I don't think its the YLOD is because it had been off for a week and I turned it on and within the first two minutes of trying to prepare it all this happened and the ps3 was not even the slightest bit warm. I plan to attempt the blow dryer fix but I really don't believe its the problem. But thank you for a legitimate answer.

old console on hdtv graphic looks weird?
just got an n64, a video game console from the 90s. i hooked it up to a hdtv and the graphic of the games looks strange, and blurry. It look actually better on an old SDTV. The same also happens to my other old-generation video game consoles - dreamcast, playstation 2, etc. Why is it?
Can a Region 1 Anime Blu-Ray disc be played on a PlayStation 3 of either regions NTSC-U/C and NTSC-J?
Getting myself and PS3 and can't decide between 2 regions....because of this problem...I am worried that if i bought the either of the regions It might not play Region 1 anime blu-ray (like Fairy tail, Heaven's Lost Property and Sekirei)......I don't wanna waste my money on a PS3 of both regions if Region 1 anime blu-ray cannot be played
