How should I upgrade my PS2?
Hello everybody, my question is...I have a problem with my PS2 slimline model, it won't turn on. But iit is probobaly because i have cut the power/reset ribbon inside the system.( I did that so my mom would by me a PS3 for my birthday.) But now since i have had my PS3 for 3 years now, i have decided to at lest try and fix my PS2, because i enjoyed playing classics, like Crash Bandicoot, and Jak 2. I have thought of 3 different options on what i could do to replace/fix it. Option 1: I could buy a new ribbon, memory card, controller, av cabes, and power cables, all for around $25.00 on Ebay, or Amazon. Option 2: Buy a refurbished PS2 from either Amazon, or Gamestop for $29.99, plus a memory card, $40+. Or finally option 3: Find a cheaply priced fat PS2 online from around, $20-$40 with accessories included. (But would neeed a network adapter so i can play Socom 2 and 3 online) (if getting fat PS2.) If you would please help me pick the best option.
Thanks
Gamestop of GameXchange.. Which is better for selling games?
Okay, so I know that it'd be a much better option to sell my stuff on Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon, etc, but I need to sell this stuff NOW.
In my city, we have a Gamestop and a GameXchange.
I'm selling a used Ps2 slim, with 4 controllers, a memory card, and some games.
Which do you think would have the better offer?
I don't want to waste a trip to check both, they're on opposite sides of town.
Lol and I meant OR not of in the title XD
Gamestop OR GameXChange
Oh really? Oh, well maybe they might not take it anymore

How to get a PS2 controller to work on PS3?
I've bought a PS2 to PS3 UBS adapter, originally for PC, and in those regards it works great. How ever upon trying to use it on my PS3 it doesn't want to work. I'm not entirely sure how if there's anything I need to press on the PS2 controller, seeing as how just plugging it in doesn't work. When I switch the analog on and off, it moves the cursor up or down and that's all... The PS3 will read that it is plugged in but the controller can't do anything, no buttons will work when pressed.
The adapter didn't come with any directions whatsoever, just the adapter in an envelope.
I've yet to get an answer from someone from the store that sold it to me (bought it online from amazon).
Any idea's on how to get this to work?
Apparently people just aren't getting it.
Adapters do exist to convert PS2 controllers to work on PS3 via USB. OMG RITE? I want help on how to get the adapter to work on said PS3. Buying an adapter is considerably less in cost as opposed to going out and buying a new PS3 controller. The only down side to buying an adapter is that it can't use sixaxis.
Someone with actual knowledge about this, please help.
The adapter (converter whatever you want to fucking call it) was sold to me as a PS2 to PS3 adapter. Meant to be able do exactly that. No where in the item description did it say it was meant to be used for PC, though multiple reviews said it was perfect for such AS WELL AS for doing what it was originally meant to do: converting PS2 controllers to work on a PS3.
There are countless adapters out there for such use made by multiple companies, even by Pelican and others like it.
I, however, had bought a more generic version. So generic it didn't even come with instructions. This is why I'm asking if anyone else who has purchased something like it have had any problems with theirs and how they may have went about fixing this problem.
Doing my own research I've found that as of patch 3.50 on the PS3, they apparently have specifically blocked some third party accessories, including these kind of adapters/converters. I can't be sure about this seeing as how I haven't f
(continuing)
found anything absolute or official. They may have left brand name adapters/converters open for use, I don't know.
On another note, you people are useless. Why do people bother answering if they don't actually know anything about the question or even /try/ to do some research on it...? Some people don't even read the ******* question before answering, apparently. Idiots.
How much would a ps2, 25 games, and 2 controllers sell for?
How much money would i get if i sell my PS2 and it's 14 games?
And one wireless and one plugged controller?
??
Original PS3 Controller or Hama Wireless CTRL "SCORPAD"?
So recently I like a complete stupid broke my PS3 controller in such a way that some glue and elbow grease wont fix it. So I need a new one.
Problem is, where I live a PS3 Controller costs 200$ Which is way more than any SANE person would ever shell out for a controller.
My alternative is a Hama Wireless CTRL "SCORPAD" It says it'll work with any PS3 meaning if I press the playstation home button it'll connect without a problem, and that its battery life is 100hours....which is one hell of a step up from the Originals 10 or so hours.
Plus, it has a turbo button!
So, is it safe to shell out the 70 bucks for the cheaper HAMA controller, or should I put down the 200$ for an original dualshock3 PS3 Controller?
OR Third option. Should I just buy a HAMA CONVERTER FOR PS2 - PS3, which is basically a wire with an USB on one end and a hole to plug in a PS2 controller on another. And it costs 30$
So Here's my options.
New PS3 Dualshock3 Controller - 200$
Hama Wireless "SCORPAD" controller - 70$
Hama Converter PS2 - PS3 - 30$ and my old PS2 Dualshock2 controller.
