What Wii console, accessories or controllers and games should I buy for my family?
There will be three adults/adolescents and one six year old. We are really buying it so we can play it with our six year old so would like the games to interest him now or in the near future. I am confused by the options since I haven't played video games for a long time.

My mother got me into video games, she bought us the NES with mario, we really never got a chance to play it, cause was on it playing it every second, she could, she would beat the game over and over and over again, she never got tired of it. She can't use any other controller but the old style controller, so the wii is out, but I hope the new old style controller will work for her, but I want to see if there is a....I don't remember what there called, but their just the game and the wire that goes to the tv. if you can help that would be great! My mother would love it so much, she wouldn't stop playing it!
What do you think of IGN reporting that the next Xbox console is scheduled to come out Fall 2013?
It'll probably get announced in E3 of this year, just like the Wii U was announced in the E3 of last year, and I would assume that the PS4 is probably gonna come out around Fall 2013 as well, since Sony doesn't want to be late for the party.

Would it be worth buying a PS3?
I already own an Xbox 360 and the Wii, and play quite a lot of PC games. Although I have never owned a single Sony console, I regret not being able to play a great number of games. Being that Sony had a lot of third-party support, I missed out on some titles I was anxious to play. Now that's it's 2012, I thought it might be nice to actually see what the current generation had to offer on all fronts as opposed to just in my huddled corner, complaining about the graphics on Gears of War and the localisation of Pandora's tower.
I'm essentially looking towards Sony's end of the market because of the games available, although I also hear the hardware is very impressive. If anyone has any advice on wether or not this purchase is wise, please do reply.

Wii U Games? Anyone got a full list?
Anyone have a list of Wii U games coming out, and maybe a hardware specs guide? I know Mario and Zelda will probably be on the upcoming Wii U, but I want more details concerning the Nintendo console. I really want to know if it's worth getting excited about.
Error Reading Disks on the Wii?
Recently, I was playing "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3" on a Wii online, when all of a sudden the Wii sort of collapsed and an error screen appeared containing the following message:
An error has occurred. Press the Eject button and remove the disk, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting.
I did as it said and reinserted it (since it was not the first time it had happened). The first time I did so it opened up but gave the the error screen again. After, my Wii just did not read the disk.
I have tried with a couple disks and none have been read, leading me to the conclusion that the actual console is the one with the problem, NOT the actual disk(s).
My Wii is about 3 years old and had some minimal problems. My Wii Menu opens up normally, and all other channels work too (Mii Channel, Internet Channel,etc). The only (but major) thing it is not doing well is the reading of disks. I tried a DVD cleaner, which did not work, but I still must try out the official Wii Cleaning Kit.
So my questions to all of you who can answer it (and preferably someone with experience in these types of problems) are:
1) Has this ever happened to you? If so, how did you fix it.
2) How can I fix this, apart from the lens cleaner I still have to try out? Remember the Wii is the one not reading any game discs.
3) Is there any other things you would suggest to aid me? please don't include way too risky or dangerous solutions.

Which games console should I get?
Hello everyone. I am currently looking to buy a new game console. I am playing on a Wii right now, but playing the the hardcore games like COD. Now the question is, do I get an Xbox 360 or wait for the Xbox 720 OR wait for the Wii U? The Xbox 360 is an option because there is no wait and many of my friends play Xbox, none on Nintendo. That is why I'm thinking of dropping Nintendo. Now unless you can convince me otherwise, I would like to talk about the Xbox. The Xbox 360 is a good choice because like I said, lots of my friends play. I want to at LEAST get a year and half before developers drop the 360. Or, do you think I should stick with Wii for the Xbox 720. Xbox could be an entertainment hub. I want a new console for college. Currently a junior in highschool.
